At a GIT seminar in 1987, Paul Gilbert told the story: he'd learned a lick from a Van Halen bootleg, but it wasn't all picked on the recording. Paul wanted every note picked. So he spent an entire summer on this one loop until he could do it.

This is that loop, and I'm giving it the same treatment: 10,000 tracked reps, live on stream, session by session until the counter hits five digits. Same picking sequence the whole way through, moved across different string sets and fingerings. No time cap per stream. It takes as long as it takes, probably 6 to 8 hours of pure repetition.
