I noticed that the distance traveled with a squid roll seems to be fixed, given that I consistently roll at the same angle. By setting up two or three lengths of ink in the lobby, you can practice squid rolling a precise distance.
I hope none of this movement stuff gets altered come the actual release of Splatoon 3, because I’ve also found that I can chain up to 5 rolls back and forth.
