A couple years ago I talked about how I developed a practice of gratitude and how it essentially changed my life. Every journal session, I write down three things that I'm grateful for. Most of the time they are inconsequential, mere blips that pepper my day, but right when they happen I just think "how am I so lucky to have this?"
So for the month of November I thought I would change things up and share my "good morning" paint sessions with some of my gratitude moments. From my journaling session this morning:
1. Over the weekend, I told the girls if they clean their room really well, they can spend the rest of the day playing games. Without any promptings, they then helped *each other* clean their rooms.
2.When Michael walked into the living room, Arlo looked up and said "hi, honey" because that's what Michael says to him.
3. Michael and I went onn a date last night ti our favorite restaurant and we had a slice of focaccia topped with a sweet potato ricotta that truly tasted like fall.
