2018 my channel got demonetized. Since I'm freelance I was partially dependent on it for my income. But when it occurred three Stoic principles came to mind which allowed me to remain tranquil and carry on relatively unaffected:
1) Recognising which things are inside of my control and which outside of it, and that it's in my power to choose how to interpret the things that happen to me.
2) True virtues are more important than fame, wealth or applause.
3) Negative visualization, having contemplated such an event before, greatly removed its ability to impact me when it occurred.
As of Jan 2019 it has since been remonetized and I am very happy about that, as indifferents go this is certainly one I deeply prefer. What's more, I recognise the business case for YouTube not providing reasons for demonetizing things, this video focuses only on the Stoic response to such situations.
