hope you found this interesting! i tried not to be too scathing in my critique of shallower, aesthetic-based self care. it's not WRONG to enjoy the aesthetic. but keep in mind the real purposes of self care!
just remember that brands marketing themselves as "self care" products are just posing -- they do not actually have your best interests in mind.
