What happens when you convert a video of part of a favorite video game to a video format, known as Cinepak, that has not been updated since 1993 and at only 256 colors? You end up with this!
This time, we have the wonderfully-animated and drawn opening cutscene of the 2015 RPG from Namco: Tales of Zestiria! Oddly enough, the low color pallet did not outright destroy the visuals in this FMV. Still, the twitchy cell-shading from Cinepak seems to work most of the time.

What happens when you take a colorful video intro from an excellent video game and re-encode it in an extremely outdated video format (Cinepak) with only a pallet of 256 colors (8-bit color)? You get this!
On todays menu, we have the splendidly-animated opening movie sequence from the 2003 RPG from Namco, Tales of Symphonia! This is probably the most-destroyed game intro we have ever ended up with between using the Cinepak video codec combined with the very limited color pallet. The colors ended up much more washed-out than expected. The flickering is so bad and so pervasive on this video, we felt we needed to add an epilepsy warning at the beginning!
