This video details a PowerBasic application designed to simulate contact transmission of infections within defined social environments. While Im not not an epidemiologist, I developed this tool during the Covid-19 pandemic as a visual experiment using graphics commands. The simulator tracks individuals moving randomly within these environments, monitoring contacts and the spread of infection based on proximity. Users can adjust parameters such as the number of houses, people per house, initial infections, infection distance, simulation duration, and whether recovery occurs. The application visually represents the spread through animated individuals and charts displaying daily infection counts.
