Power Rangers SPD is the 13th season of the Power Rangers franchise, airing in 2005 part of Jetix on the ABC Family and Toon Disney channels. Like many seasons before it, SPD adapts footage and story elements from the Japanese Super Sentai series—in this case, Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger (which, just so you know, I’ve never seen). Known for its more mature storytelling and sci-fi themes, SPD marks a significant shift by setting the story in a near-future world of 2025 where humans and aliens coexist. Crazy how back then in 2005, we would look at 2025 as so futuristic and now that were here,what do we got? Gentrification? Recession? The downhill of society? What else?
