Still weird, for sure, but we feel better now, with the con thing. Speaking of cons, we're in the middle of one. The movers are doing the thing moving companies like to do. This happens to so many people but it seems nobody has any way to fight back and it just keeps happening. You think you found legit movers, but then they outsource to some other company, who then ups the price when they have your stuff, and won't give it to you until you pay some outrageous charge. Sometimes more than double the starting price. They know they're scamming you. You know you're being scammed, but I've never heard of a case where someone successfully avoided the delivery up charges and hostage situations. People make all sorts of threats but the moving companies keep doing this. So, we'll see if they even show up, and if they do, what other mystery fees there'll be. We would have done PODS but they didn't service that area. Not many options.
