Spike is spending a good deal of time with a new friends, which causes Rarity to become jealous that he is spending less time helping her.
This episode is jam-packed with score, leading to a whopping 16 tracks. Throughout we have plenty of your normal score for Rarity, featuring much harpsichord, and also some extremely melodramatic pieces. The episode also features two montages, continuing the trend of these extended musical selections this season.

In an attempt to spend even more time with Spike, Rarity buys them tickets to Power Ponypalooza.
When Rarity announces to Spike about the tickets, the Power Ponies fanfare, introduced in that episode all the way back in season 4, is fittingly used. It's nice to hear it brought back again for a short burst for its mention here.
After that, the score transitions to a new version of a cue we've heard a few times before in the series.
