Sometimes a racer gets sooooooo close they can taste victory. In the case of Queensland drag racer Greg Leahy, he top qualified in the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship category of Competition with a .65 under his BB/FCA index of 6.95 seconds.
In the first round he took the automatic win when his opponent red lighted. In the second round he had a bye run. The No.2 qualifier was out in the second round so all the cards were falling in place for Leahy.
