We’re charging ahead with our new battery project! 🔋
Our grid-scale battery at Ruakākā, near Whangārei, will store enough power for roughly 60,000 homes over a two-hour period - helping with those high-use periods in the morning and evening.
Batteries allow us to rely more on low-carbon solar and wind and ensure we have a more secure power system. Ruakākā is just the first – expect to see many more BESS sites popping up around New Zealand.
