Walleyes on jerkbaits? You better believe it. In this episode of Angling Edge, Al Lindner and Ty Sjodin break down a power drifting jerkbait system that produced one of the fastest walleye bites we’ve seen in years. This isn’t your traditional trolling or jigging approach. Instead, we’re slip-drifting jerkbaits to keep the lure in the strike zone longer—triggering aggressive walleyes feeding up in clear water systems.
The key?➡️ Long casts➡️ Controlled drift speed➡️ Sweep… pause… strike
Most bites come on the pause, when the bait tips forward and triggers reaction strikes.
We started the day jigging… and quickly realized this technique was producing 5X more fish.
