I like to demonstrate the power distribution in a bifilar pancake coil. I use two 100 Ohm resistor connected in series to the coil and connect across each resistor an LED. My statements about the current is based on the load in question and not to understand as a general assumption. Current and voltage alignment is more complicate and various with the load.
