Feli from Germany | POV: You visit the famous Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany... and 529143 other people do too. 🫠 @FelifromGermany | Uploaded January 2024 | Updated October 2024, 21 minutes ago.
In all seriousness: Neuschwanstein is a very touristy place to visit but that doesn't mean it's not worth it!
This was in October 2023 on a Saturday with beautiful weather so it was extra packed but the line to the photo bridge (Marienbrücke) actually only took about 10 minutes. Once on the bridge , you just had to be patient to get your photos done and put up with people bumping into you. Oh, and the bridge is also pretty shaky so if you're scared of heights, I wouldn't recommend it! Besides that, the tour of the inside of Neuschwanstein is actually really short (the tour of Hohenschwangau right next to it is more interesting) and the stores and restaurants in the valley are 100% catered to tourists and feel a little bit like you're in an amusement park rather than a real place. Still, the castle is beautiful and so are the views from up there! At the end of the tour, make sure to check out the view from the rear balcony right next to the gift shop and café.
