Follow University of Idaho engrineering student Emily Myers through a day at NASA Ames Research Center, where she works with stem cells, brain organoids and autonomous experiments to support radiation research.
From checking cells in the lab to working with astrocytes and neurons, Emily shares what she’s learning as part of the Space Life Science Training Program. She also takes us behind the scenes on intern tours of NASA’s supercomputing facilities, wind tunnels and the X-59.
Emily’s internship is funded through the Idaho Space Grant Consortium and gives her the opportunity to combine her background in biology and engineering while gaining hands-on experience in space life sciences.
