Remodelaholic | Pouring Concrete Footing for Backyard Custom Pergola | Remodelaholic @Remodelaholic | Uploaded June 2023 | Updated October 2024, 22 minutes ago.
Today I am pouring concrete footings for the backyard custom pergola. I was able to get the holes to pass inspection now it's time to fill them in. I have #4 rebar suspended and ready centered in the footing 3" off the ground.

It took about 2.5 bags of 80lb concrete bags to fill the holes. Each hole took about one half hour to fill each one.
The landscaper was able to get a funny pipe in place in the hole next to the grass, so I could tie into the drip irrigation that was going to water hanging backets and pots around the pergola. That was great timing to get that in. Now they don't have to have a hose over the patio to water the plants.
Once it was filled I leveled it with a small hand trowel level to the existing patio. Now we just need to wait a few days to add the post brackets.
