Daily guide:
Before starting - lots of talk about the upcoming change
Day 1 - take off nappy upon waking and talk about what is happening. Commando on bottom half all day. Watch like a hawk (put your phone out of reach) and put them on the potty as soon as the first wee starts. You might need to give extra drinks to encourage this. Try to avoid TV time.
Day 2 - Continue with day 1 strategies. Don’t be surprised if there is some resistance.
Day 3 - Continue with day 1 & 2 strategies. Encourage sitting on the toilet/potty for short periods of time if you know a wee/poo is imminent.
Day 4 - Try wearing trousers if you like. You could venture out of the house today. Make sure you remember a portable potty and spare changes of clothes. Don’t leave the house for long.
Day 7 - 14 Consider introducing underwear when you feel the time is right
Day 10 - 14 Take away nap and night nappies
