Be sure to check out her work if you love period dramas too! Such a cool song :)... lyrics go with story- symbolism (of course)- some of it hidden plot. (Those who don't like the hidden plot- just hopefully enjoy the vid and don't read the rest. lol) Here's some of the symbolism I used: when the man and woman whisper about the tower of wisdom- wisdom is often symbolized as silver (why I made clips of them that color) and gold is the wealth of it (the flash when Erik twirls his cape, also one of his royal colors in hidden plot- hers too)- the tower is the opera house- their musical kingdom- and where they sought the wisdom they later found. "You see the lonely dove" -- one dove symbolizes Christine, the other Erik, (turtledoves were also in PotO movie- shown with them and in the masquerade song- the French subtitles shown onscreen) - turtledoves are symbolic of true loves/lovers- and are known for mating for life, turtledoves are also linked with the goddess Venus, who symbolized Christine in hidden plot (so the doves symbolism fit Erik and Christine to a T showing them as a couple)- the "lonely" doves- E & C are lonely without each other -- one dove fades, one fast disappears- no longer lonely -- clips showing them drawn together -- in part escaping to be together, then a kiss -- and the next time shown, they are united in life, and in death (in spirit) for eternity.
