Next 17 Sept. 2024, the potentially hazardous asteroid 2024 ON will have a close and obviously safe encounter with us, coming at about 1 million of km from the Earth, 2.6 times the average lunar distance. The Virtual Telescope Project will show it to you live!

At the time of that live feed, the near-Earth asteroid 2024 RQ (25 – 56 meters large) will be almost at its minimum distance from us, just beyond the lunar orbit and we will show it live, too!

The live feed is scheduled for 15 Sept. 2024 and it will start at 19:30 UTC.
