first of all: i dont play enough AA or other categories where this is an advancement you have to get, so i have no idea if this would actually be much of a timesave at all, but as far as im aware the strat for UA is a massive portal and fishing rods, which is also inconsistent because ghasts can suffocate in the overworld and shit like that, so this might help. would also save time on mining all the obby needed for that strat.

stumbled across this playing set seed 1.17 when i was going through the portal and killing a ghast at the same time, so did some testing and it's definitely replicable. main downside is probably getting a ghast into an environment where it can't really move much. the timing with the pauses while going through the portal can also be tricky, if you change rd up too early then the ghast just dies without getting the advancement.
