I headed to the Charles Young Buffalo Soldiers National Monument, in Wilburforce, Ohio, after leaving Hamvention for a POTA activation on Sunday, May 17, 2026, but I nearly botched the whole thing by forgetting to hit record until four contacts in. Despite calling QRT, the 20m band wouldn't let me go, resulting in non-stop contacts, which I finally managed to capture as irrefutable evidence. See how I salvaged this activation and turned a recording disaster into another successful day on the air.
