This gallery features a small sample of public health posters and leaflets relating to AIDS and HIV. They highlight stories which are not captured in the mainstream narratives surrounding HIV. During the health crisis in the 1980’s and 1990’s, posters were a cost-effective and powerful method of informing the public in the widest way possible. The posters seek to target different audiences and intersecting groups: such as mothers, sex workers, lesbian mothers, South Asian and Muslim communities, amongst others.
