New stories from across the region continue on Postcards Thursday, April 9 at 7 p.m. on the @PostcardsOnPioneerPBS YouTube channel. This new episode features the Learn to Ski program in New London, a summer recreation initiative started in 2022 to introduce children to water skiing. The program provides opportunities for youth to stay active, while building skills and confidence.
In Granite Falls, multimedia artist Dani Prados shares her creative journey through a city artist residency program. Originally from Washington, D.C., Prados lived and worked internationally before settling in the community. Her recent work focuses on innovative resin casting techniques using materials such as tissue paper and plants from her garden.
A new tradition in New London, where the Little Theatre celebrates the autumnal equinox with a community puppet parade, is highlighted. Organizer Bethany Lacktorin discusses the process behind the event and the strong community support it has generated.
