Hi!âPostcard from Rivendellâ is a little song I recorded almost two years ago, part of some music meant to be the sound track to a short amateur film. It was never meant to be posted on YouTube. But the Covid-19 pandemic stopped the project. I never did any video recording when playing, there was no use for it then. Here is a shortened version of the song, with a video starting in the real world, but step by step moving into the world of fantasy. The video is (almost) free from me playing guitar, I canât play at the moment, bought a new very good kitchen knife two weeks ago and manage to cut myself in the ring finger on the left hand. Guitar playing still hurtsâŚIf you wonder about the title â Rivendell is a valley in Tolkiens' fictional world of Middle-Earth, representing both a homely place of sanctuary and a magical Elvish other-world.
