This was the first railroad crossing I would properly record on March 16, 2026. That day and the previous day, I was focusing on documenting the FEC Mainline without any regard of trying to record any crossings. Until I got to Melbourne, FL. Or actually, starting from Cocoa and southwards, this line is jointly operated by both FEC and Brightline, since Brightline recently started its operations to the Orlando Airport. So it was nice to see that, and thus, I would therefore properly record the first crossing with a Brightline train on its way to West Palm Beach station, and beyond!
Crossing info:
Main signal on the left: 2 - 12"x20" WCH w/ RSI LEDs, 8- 12"x24" Harmon w/ RSI LEDs, a WCH Style 3.5 gate mechanism, 4" NEG LED gatelights, and a WCH 2nd Gen. Mechanical Bell
Quad-gate signal on the left: 2 - 12"x20" WCH w/ RSI LEDs, 2- 12"x24" WCH w/ Leotek IL series LEDs, a WCH Style 3.5 & 4 gate mechanism, 4" NEG LED gatelights, and a WCH 2nd Gen. Mechanical Bell
