My friend Aja needed a portrait taken very last minute, and I'm not much a of a portrait photographer.. I'm much more comfortable with landscape photography - but I loaded up the Aputure 300d, the Tri-8c, and my little GX85 and headed over to her house to see if we could take a good one. Turns out the 300d is a super capable light and I didn't need any kind of flash bulbs / speed lights at all, and we were able to finish the entire session (photo edited and all) in under an hour simply because I could see the photos I was trying to take without having to chimp the screen after a photo was taken with a flash.
