I wish I didn’t have to stir things up in the community. But I mean, some things just
beg to be stirred up.
Even activism, even political work. It’s got to be fun right? It’s got to be enjoyable.
A simple but very crucial part of doing the work that we do is getting to know one
another.
Community building and community development is an important aspect of
everything I do.
I have a real empathy for artists because I know what it’s like to create work and to do it in isolation and without a lot of public response.
It’s important to help them. They’re very inspirational.
In my small way, I’d like to think that I build a bridge and maybe some understanding.
Because it’s the first step towards building some kind of equality in a really genuine, authentic way. I think I could do that. Yeah, I could do that.
