Bred from the success of the highly exclusive and limited-run Porsche 911R, the Porsche 911 GT3 Touring is a fine example of one of the Stuttgart manufacturer’s finest design and engineering works.
So, what is it? Well, take the immensely popular and hugely capable GT3 – home to a visceral 500+BHP 4.0 flat six engine and one of the best handling chassis’ ever – remove the large, fixed rear wing and you’re left with one of the purist, understated forms of performance ever, presented in a subtle yet beautiful fashion.
Keeping most other components from the GT3 gives the Touring a low, wide stance that allows it to conquer every corner with ease and inspires a tantalisingly confident drive.
