The 2006 Arriving Somewhere was one of the more unique Porcupine Tree tours. Only having 20 stops, it was undertaken as a means to promote the concert film of the same name. While the second set featured a group of songs played from the previous tour (with all but .3 being found on the Arriving Somewhere concert film/live album), the first set was made up of 6 brand new tracks.
Of these new tracks, fans quickly latched on to one they dubbed simply "The Beast." That track was Anesthetize, which would be released the following year as the centerpiece to Fear of A Blank Planet.
Of note is the fact that during this tour one could see Anesthetize, Arriving Somewhere and Buying New Soul being played regularly during the same show!
