Well MOB games are the latest games studio to anger fans by selling NFTs.

The newest video on their YouTube page is an advertisement for what they are calling "digital collectible posters", which are actually just NFTs of the posters found in the game.

These are limited to 5000 copies and will actually contain clues or hints to the lore, so naturally I am not a fan.
