A busy year of touring and new music from rock pastor Pontus J. Back
Rock pastor Pontus J. Back has toured extensively this year, witnessing powerful things happen in both Germany and Sweden. Now something new is beginning in Germany. The combination of his music and compelling life story reaches those who listen. This is more than music—it carries a message about life and the hope found in God.
So far this year, Pontus has spent more nights sleeping in the tour bus than at home. His autumn tour of Germany begins on September 14 and continues through October 28.
Despite his busy touring schedule, he has also found time to write new music.
“When I sit down in the studio with an idea, something happens. Everything else disappears, and I become so absorbed in creating music that even my cup of coffee remains untouched,” Pontus says.
He is currently completing his next album, *In the Search of the 12th Bar*, which will be released on January 1, 2027. The title track and *Gray Monday* will be released as a digital single on September 25.
“Once again, I have the privilege of working with incredibly talented musicians such as Mikko Rintanen, Lelle Törnqvist and Janne Hyöty. This will be a really enjoyable album with a little more of a blues direction,” Pontus concludes.

Rockpastorn Pontus J. Back har turnerat flitigt under året, och mäktiga saker har skett i både Tyskland och Sverige. Något nytt är på gång i Tyskland. Hittills i år har Pontus sovit fler nätter i turnébussen än hemma. Den 14 september inleds höstens turné i Tyskland, som pågår till den 28 oktober.Trots det intensiva turnélivet har han även hunnit skriva ny musik.
– När jag sätter mig i studion med en idé händer någonting. Allt annat försvinner och jag blir så uppslukad av musikskapandet att till och med kaffekoppen förblir orörd, säger Pontus.
Just nu färdigställer han sitt kommande album *In the Search of the 12th Bar*, som släpps den 1 januari 2027. Titellåten och *Gray Monday* släpps som en digital singel den 25 september.
– Än en gång får jag arbeta med fantastiska musiker som Mikko Rintanen, Lelle Törnqvist och Janne Hyöty. Det blir en riktigt rolig skiva som den här gången drar lite mer åt blueshållet, avslutar Pontus.-

Rockpastor Pontus J. Back war in diesem Jahr intensiv auf Tournee und durfte erleben, wie sowohl in Deutschland als auch in Schweden Großartiges geschehen ist. Nun beginnt in Deutschland etwas Neues. Die Kombination aus seiner Musik und seiner bewegenden Lebensgeschichte erreicht die Menschen. Es ist mehr als Musik – sie vermittelt eine Botschaft über das Leben und über die Hoffnung, die bei Gott zu finden ist.
In diesem Jahr hat Pontus bisher mehr Nächte im Tourbus als zu Hause verbracht. Seine Herbsttournee durch Deutschland beginnt am 14. September und dauert bis zum 28. Oktober.
Trotz des intensiven Tourlebens hat er auch Zeit gefunden, neue Musik zu schreiben.
„Wenn ich mich mit einer Idee ins Studio setze, geschieht etwas. Alles andere verschwindet, und ich bin so sehr in das Musikschaffen vertieft, dass sogar meine Kaffeetasse unberührt bleibt“, sagt Pontus.
Derzeit arbeitet er an den letzten Details seines kommenden Albums *In the Search of the 12th Bar*, das am 1. Januar 2027 veröffentlicht wird. Der Titelsong und *Gray Monday* erscheinen am 25. September als digitale Single.
„Erneut darf ich mit unglaublich talentierten Musikern wie Mikko Rintanen, Lelle Törnqvist und Janne Hyöty zusammenarbeiten. Es wird ein richtig unterhaltsames Album, das diesmal etwas stärker in Richtung Blues geht“, so Pontus abschließend.
