POLIWHIRL IS KINDA GOATED I'M NOT GONNA LIE | 2025 VGC REG I
Howdy Ho, YouTube! Today, I am using a team created by @AndyLaVGC that features an unorthodox Pokémon: Poliwhirl. Let's take a look!
The archetype is Hyper-Offense Rain. The first Restricted is Life Orb, Tera Water Kyogre with Water Spout. It deals an insane amount of damage. You pair it with Swift Swim Poliwhirl, which can use Icy Wind for speed control, break a potential Focus Sash, and then KO with Water Spout. It's gross. You also have Farigiraf to stop priority moves like Fake Out and Grassy Glide, while also giving a damage boost to Kyogre with Helping Hand.
Tornadus is a must on this team comp. This one is holding a Sharp Beak to increase its damage on Bleakwind Storm and pick up KO's your opponent wouldn't expect. Incineroar is standard, except it is Specially Defensive and has a Covert Cloak to block opposing Fake Out moves. Finally, Zacian is Tera Ground, Tera Blast, since the rain protects it from Fire-type moves, and ground coverage is essential.
