Throughout the 1970’s the Chop Shop racket generated 40 million dollars a year for the organization, it was run by the Chicago Heights crew, but it was greed that sparked a vicious 13-year war that cost many outfit guys and their associates their lives. The Chicago Heights’ crew never recovered due the decimation of their leadership and earners.
