Quentin Bryce, Governor General of Australia, visited Lismore to talk to flood victims and recognise the efforts of local community organisations.
Members of the POLITE gave away lammingtons and presented a hemp bag full of information from the Nimbin HEMP Embassy to the Governor General's aid who thanked them and carried the bag off home. The POLITE were glad to see other community groups and had a good time.
