During this on-line event Anna from @PolishYourKitchen will be sharing her Polish family Christmas traditions, talk about dishes we eat and take your questions.
'Tis the season of giving!
We will be raising money to support a local organization: a Hospice for Children and Adults in Szczecin: https://zhdd.pl We are joining my friend & radio journalist Paweł Żuchowski, who is responsible for "Akcja KASZANKA" - a fundraiser that was born from a challenge put out by a Polish-American NBA player Marcin Gortat. He was going to pay $100 to anyone willing to eat kaszanka (blood sausage) with a fried egg. My husband Mark jumped right on it. He gladly ate the sausage and the money went to charity.
This year marks the 3rd year of "Akcja Kaszanka". In the last two years Paweł gathered donations from all around the world. The hospice was able to purchase respirators, oxygen concentrators and other medical equipment worth over $100K.
This year we are joining Paweł Żuchowski in his efforts. Please help us by donating $1, $10 or however much you can.
