Our new recruits share advice on applying for the role of police officer

We’re looking for recruits of all ages and backgrounds to become police officers. You do have to be aged 18 or over (you can apply at 17.5), physically fit, and hold a valid driving licence.

We need you and your unique life experience to handle the challenges of the role on a daily basis.

You will try to help people at some of their worst times and it can be physically and mentally demanding, but the satisfaction of knowing you’ve helped someone in need is very rewarding.
