How does it feel shooting photos with a 50-year-old camera? The Polaroid SX-70 (See my review: letterstobarbara.com/polaroid-sx-70-review-best-instant-camera/) is a vintage camera. After purchasing one last year, I started shooting loads of Polaroid films. I wanted to see how the camera would perform and if the results would still be usable.
For several months, I found myself carrying the Polaroid SX-70 all around Greece. Quite often, the SX-70 seemed to be stubborn; however, the results were great for an instant camera that old. Soon, I understood how the camera worked, and I was able to get better results as time went by.
So, in this video, you will see 25 Polaroids from Greece shot with my Polaroid SX-70. On a side note, I must add that the polaroids you see here are not post-processed. Apart from a +15 in sharpness for web optimization, there's no other post-processing. The colors, the exposure, the grain, etc., everything is straight out of the camera result.

The Fortress of Palamidi in the coastal town of Nafplio, Greece, was built by the Venetians in the early 18th century (Read more: https://letterstobarbara.com/palamidi-fortress-nafplio/). It has a total of eight bastions, and its a typical example of baroque architecture. The locals claim that you need to climb 999 steps to reach it, but this seems rather exaggerated: in reality, if you want to reach the Palamidi Fortress, you just have to walk 857 steps.
I reached the Palamidi Fortress on a warm day in early summer. The castle is in excellent condition, and as you can see in the video, one can enjoy spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and Acronauplia. If you happen to be touring around Peloponnese, I think that the Fortress of Palamidi is a must-see.
This video from the Palamidi Fortress is filmed with the DJI Osmo Pocket in 30 fps, 1/60 Shutter Speed, and I used some ND filters due to the intense light. I edited the footage in FCPX.
