I got some good additional tips from a friend - "Drain traps, toilet tanks and bowls, and anywhere else that holds standing water are of paramount importance. You can't blow the water out of a trap because the sewer gas would come up into the home. Hence adding antifreeze to them. Draining all the pipes is also very critical. Shut off the master and then open every single faucet in the home so everything drains to the lowest point in the house.
If you are prepping a home for something like this week's weather and will be staying in the home when all is done, consider your houseplants and fish tanks. Things you don't normally consider when experiencing sudden freezing temperatures inside your home. Food storage that is wet, such as bottled fruit, may also need to have a space heater near them to prevent exploding glass jars. I'm sure there are other things.
