Few cities in Europe were so present in modern history than Gdansk in Poland. World War II started here, but also the solidarnosc movement that ultimately lead to the fall of the communist regimes in Eastern Europe.The old town was masterfully restored and today, Gdansk is a vibrant attractive city.
