Replacement of the backup battery inside a 2nd generation Pokémon cartridge. Soldering is involved to do this properly and I absolutely recommend you do it properly! The same process applies to other Game Boy cartridges such as Zelda but sometimes they take a different battery. Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal uses a tabbed CR2025 battery.
