After finishing up in Fuchsia City, I head to Cinnabar Island next, which is the home of the 7th Pokémon Gym.

The catch is that I have to get by crossing through a few Sea Routes, and that means I need a Pokémon that knows Surf. My Vaporeon will work!

Pretty much... yeah, expect to fight nothing but Water Pokémon this whole way, whether that means the random wild Tentacool or Tentacruel you encounter, or the horders of Swimmer Trainers that will also fight you with nothing but Water-Types. Some of them aren't even actually Swimmers. They may be of other classes, such as Beauties.
----------

Along the way to Cinnabar Island, I end up trying to go through an aquatic cave known as the Seaform Islands.

However, I was mostly unprepared for this, as I did not have a Pokémon that knew Strength on me, nor did I want to teach it to anyone in my current party.

There's a gimmick in Seaform Islands where the lower waters of this place are in a high tide. If you drop down into that water from above, you'll automatically be forced to Surf to the nearest land. What you'd have to do is use Strength to push boulders into holes from above so they can lower that tide and allow you to Surf on it normally.

I got a bit too confused navigating this without Strength, so I decided to reach Cinnabar Island from the opposite way (though not before catching some more Water Pokémon, like Seel AND it's rarer evolution Dewgong).

You can also reach Cinnabar Island just by Surfing from Pallet Town. Maybe visit your mom from a party heal before then. This way to the island is actually simpler than trying to reach it from Fuchsia City!
----------

So then... I did it! I've reached Cinnabar Island!

For such a small town, there's still a handful of things to get done here.

However, one of those things you CAN'T do immediately is go into its Pokémon Gym. I didn't show it, here, but its front door is actually locked...

Better go find that key somewhere, here!
