Winona and her minions specialise in Flying types, and not strictly Normal/Flying either. All of Winona's party know Aerial Ace which never misses.
I didn't go for a Tank method this time (yay!), this time around I just went with a "wing it (pun not intended) and see what happens" method of battling. 3 fainted, but it got more exciting results, I think.
I do admit that I did beef up my Pokémon a bit with Vitamins from spare cash. Only the important things, like giving Lilly and Angela a few Sp. Attack boosts and Attack on Keely and Boxerbird
I'm glad Altaria got sent out early and took it out quickly; that's the one that scares me the most in this fight because as you probably saw it knows Earthquake, which when a Flying Type knows it, really can dampen your day. Coupled with Dragon Dance, which beefs Attack and Speed, can make it very OP. Surprisingly the one I had the most trouble with was Pelipper. I hate Protect and Supersonic with a passion.
Major events:
- In an earlier video I said I was saving up for TM13 Ice Beam with bulk cash; I forgot you get one for free on the Abandoned Ship and I was going to save up for Thunderbolt but I forgot you get one for clearing New Mauville too. So instead I used the bulk cash to buy Vitamins to beef up my Pokémon a bit.
- Taught Lilly (Lombre) Ice Beam.
- Finally withdrew Dragonfly from storage (dumping HM Slave I) and gave it an Exp. Share so it'd receive exp without actually using it. Surprised it got to level 35 (the level it evolves), as it was 20 when I first got it out.
- Dragonfly (Trapinch) evolved into Vibrava and it learned Dragonbreath.
- Ronald (Aron) evolved into Lairon.
- Cleared New Mauville and obtained TM24 Thunderbolt.
- Obtained HM02 Fly from my rival.
- Taught Fly to Keely (Crobat)
