Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon FireRed: Some Unused Overworld Sprites
So, after a long time, very long time I decided again to randomly do some minor ROM inspection and modification on my laptop to save the game after that state of modification. I wrote a script that would allow the Mystery Gift man in Pokémon Emerald to appear legitly to give me the Eon Ticket. I found this weird character too in the list of overworld sprites that is not used in the games at all. It is animated to walk and run too. It does not look human and neither looks like any Pokémon of course. I think it has animations too for diagonal movements.
As for Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, there are overworld sprites for Mew, Celebi, Raikou, Entei amd Suicune. Theh are not used at all. What if Game Freak had a plan to release them using Nintendo e-Reader cards? They would appear in the Altering Cave on the higher level ground with the steps. It would be a good place to put Legendaries on like Mewtwo where you can find it in the Cerulean Cave. But yea, so, for Celebi I recreated a Shrine, put Celebi in it, saved the game and put the saved file back into my real FireRed. It is how my real game can still show it because I have done it using my real SAV file and game made into a ROM. It is what I did too for my Emerald.
So, what is that character in Emerald? Were Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald meant to be a different game at first but later changed into Pokémon? What do you think? Oh, that man does not appear in the games at all and does not exist in the other games, only in Emerald. Do you maybe know something about it? Let me know.
