Level 50 Bracket with a team of Jumpluff, Umbreon, and Snorlax.
They aren't perfectly optimized, since Umbreon still has the Cut HM. Snorlax is also a Rest/Snore setup since I didn't want to add too much since TMs are one-use, so I held on to Sleep Talk for now. Snore with Rest is still a decent strategy but there are at least six or more movesets I can think of that are better for this. Curse, Rest, and Body Slam are still huge for Snorlax however, so it's still mostly an excellent moveset, and Snore with Quick Claw means you have a chance to get something out of the flinch chance with Snore.
You can only have one of the same item on each Pokemon in Battle Tower, so I ended up using Leftovers on Umbreon over Snorlax, since Quick Claw is pretty useless on my Umbreon's moveset and Snorlax can still get a lot done here without it with 3v3 rules. While this is generally easier to work around than Pokemon Stadium 2 with Rentals only (assuming you used your TMs wisely), you still can only work with what you currently have, earned, caught, and leveled. This team is based on what I used already + an already level 50 Snorlax with no major use history before this recording.
The Battle Tower is essentially a competitive battle option that foregoes any quality of life elements that makes Pokemon more of an RPG to simulate battles vs. other players, much like Pokemon Stadium before it, and is exclusive to Pokemon Crystal; it doesn't exist in Gold/Silver. This gives players an excuse to keep raising and finding different Pokemon, and keep them at different level brackets, to see if they can complete the challenge even after they've defeated Red. It can however, be accessed before the Elite 4.
