Mini review: Pokemon ZA was really fun, but that's largely thanks to having reused many systems from Legends Arceus which were already really solid. I thought the writing was lackluster and even occasionally icky. It left out a lot of Kalos characters and scenarios I would've liked to have seen. There's also just not a lot of legendary Pokemon? The word "legends" is literally in the title. The game in general is really repetitive, and it doesn't help that it was entirely in one small city. Just a little bit of exploreable area outside the city would've improved the game drastically.
Criticizing the graphics in modern Pokemon is like the biggest echo chamber in entertainment, but it's still worth mentioning. It is largely just the buildings that look undercooked, which sucks since thats like 90% of the game.
The new battle mechanic is really cool though and I hope they use it for future Legends games.
