So the night of release I've played a bit of pokemon shield, about 2 hours and I gotta say the game feels great! Seeing the Dexit discourse for so many months got me a bit nervous and made me feel like I might not like the game at all, but so far its been pretty good.
Update for the sake of transparency: I've changed the thumbnail and title since the video is under performing. I'm wondering if it's because there's nothing to set it apart from all the other remixes done months ago, so I changed the thumbnail to a different gym leader. Sorry for the confusion.

Also fun fact, Dubstep originated from the UK and galar region is based on the UK. I didn't really make that connection until after finishing this track lol (You'll see why I said that in a bit)
So okay about the remix itself, yeah this is waaaay out of my comfort zone, I know. And many might not like it, but I just really wanted to give it that EDM festival vibe it kinda already has going but with a different twist, you'll see what I mean in a sec ;) That twist was super fun and I really hope you guys enjoy it because I had tons of fun making it! Oh and for those who recognize the reference, it was actually already done before by an artist named getter, which you can find in this song: youtube.com/watch?v=sAa71pGpNfU I kinda wanted to do that same thing because I thought it would be funny, which is why I went for a normal big room house drop followed by some booing, since it kinda gives the impression it wasn't hype enough, and then something just came along and... yeah lol
Also this particular project was really taxing on my computer. 70% CPU usage so this was the remix that made me pull the trigger and buy a whole bunch of new upgrades to my PC. An i9-9900k and 32GB of ram will be on its way soon. Yeah it's quite the investment but seeing as though content creation is my job for now I thought it was justified to go a little overkill haha. Though that means I'll have an extra computer lying around which I'm looking to sell for cheap soon (i7-4790k and GTX970 + 16GB of ram if you were wondering) so once I figure everything out with my new build and all I'll probably announce that if anyone's interested.
Anyway other than that, I hope you guys enjoy this odd remix. I'm no stranger to dubstep tbf, quite a few of my dubstep tracks from the past have been received very well (even the horrible ones) so I shouldn't be so nervous right? RIGHT??

Megalovania but beats 2 and 4 are swapped. Yup I finally did it lol. Sometimes I think I take myself a little too seriously so something a little less serious every now and then wouldnt hurt.
Anyway this remix started off as just a joke to see if I could really make something out of it, but I just kept working on it more and more. So about 12 hours of work later, this ended up happening. For this one, I wanted to do the original tempo which is 120bpm. Since every time Ive remixed megalovania Ive done slower tempos like 87-100 (or in my cases 174-200) because my style is more geared towards DnB and hardcore. So this time I wanted to just do Electro House.
It was honestly pretty fun to do this style since I dont do it very often, which comes with the drawback of my lack of experience with it. Hopefully I did well! I did experiment a bit with volume to make sure certain parts are more impactful than others, which is why I probably should warn you not to crank the volume during the intro because it will blast your ears once the song drops!
funny thing, it started off as the drop not being very impactful because it was just as loud as the buildup, so something as simple as volume can really make a difference. anyway enough music rambles, I hope you guys enjoy this because I definitely had fun with it!

So have an Undertale AU based original song. Ive been wanting to exercise my ability to write original themes, but I cant just pull one out of thin air, so scenarios from things like undertale AUs are great with that.
With this theme I was trying to create a theme that would play right after Sans had to eliminate papyrus for the XP and he ends up going insane because of it. I am aware that it isnt the official one, but it was a really cool way to get a feel for the scene and how it plays out since as far as I know, there isnt much info on this AU as the owner of it didnt have a chance to flesh it out.
I felt like this AU could benifit from a more gritty electronic feel so thats basically what I went for. If I really had to choose a genre this would fit for Id say synthwave, however the sound design is definitely more modern than synthwave would probably suggest which is why I cant really call it that confidently.
Edit: Shara told me it seems more like Darksynth which sounds dope so Ill go with that lol
This was a piece where I was trying to prove a point to myself. Often times I dont write original music because I just dont like how most of mine go. I would write 48 or so measures then give up completely because Im just not in love with the ideas I have, so they just sit there and collect dust. But I wanted this to be something I created and could be proud of without giving up halfway or so. But after ignoring my self doubt and just chipping away at the song bit by bit, I was able to come up with this. Whether you like it or not is really just up to you, Im just happy I was able to create something from nothing like this. Regardless, I hope you enjoy!

Its been about a year since I did a Kirby remix and like 5 years since before that. This time its Nightmares theme from adventure. (but Im sure hes in other kirby games too idk yet.
Anyway I remember waaay back in 2013 when my friend wanted me to remix this for him so without knowing anything about kirby, I just went ahead and remixed nightmares theme. Now that Ive fought him in adventure, I know the context and remixed the theme again.
It started off as a joke to see if I can remix the phase 1 theme because it gave me some mad neurofunk vibes which was fun to mess around with. But then I realized it would be like a 30 second remix because the song was really simple and the loop was really short. So I combined it with nightmares theme which is his phase 2. Both songs are really short so it was a little hard finding ways to turn it into a full length remix without looping too much to the point where it sounds repetitive. So I wanted to create a change in structure which is what youll find in 1:48. Honestly I felt like the song sounded very bland without it so I was happy when I finally came up with something to differentiate from the main chorus part.
Anyway there may be more kirby remixes to come, but that depends if one catches my attention while playing through them, which is likely since the soundtrack is a bop.

Here is another Dusttale original song. This one is the successor to Breaking point, where he is now mad and going after his friends to get enough LV to challenge chara.
It was fun having this darkwave direction with dusttale so I decided to keep that theme going with these originals. Might make some more in the future since its nice to write original songs for the channel every once in a while, and Undertale AUs giving scenarios to write for really helps with prompts instead of pulling them out of my butt. Hopefully soon I will dabble in more AUs and have a bunch more scenarios to work with.
The world is a super scary place at the moment, so Ive been just sitting inside playing videogames all day to pass the time. Ive been keeping up to date with the current riots and police brutality cases. Im glad the ugliness of our justice system has finally been unmasked to the public and hopefully change will come out of it.
