Bede, the rival I despised but has a pretty cool theme. Gamefreak did a great job making a very hateable character because I really did want to knock him down a few pegs since he had such a high opinion of himself. but I don't want to spoil too much about him since I'm sure not many people have gotten too far into the game yet, so just enjoy a jet set radio-ified version of his theme song!
So as I said earlier, I went for a bit of a jet set radio vibe with this guy because of that funky bass. I still love hideki naganuma's work and you bet your butt I want to keep trying to replicate his style because I will never get tired of JSRF's soundtrack. Funky basslines, electronic elements, breaks, heavy drums, yeah all that. His theme in general I did like and the first time I heard it I thought jet set radio, I also thought that way about team yell's theme lol. Maybe I should see what I can do with that too. I loooooved composing those basslines. I didn't want to transcribe the ones in the song because I also wanted to challenge myself by making my own, so I hope you guys enjoy them.
Anyway I think this is the first video I made with my new computer. I recently built a system that has an i9-9900k and 32GB of ram. That was a whole 5 hours of frustration because a lot of things didn't really work together but I made it happen so that's good at least. Also I'm approaching the end of my semester which means finals and projects being due and overwhelming stuff weee how fun! So I have to figure that stuff out while trying to keep this channel afloat. Let's see I have a music production project to mix and master by the 9th of December, an after effects animation I need to get done by the end of the semester, a research paper due and a few sessions to try to knock out of the way. It's going to be a busy 3 weeks and I'm scared, but I can do nothing but try my best.

Disbelief Papyrus (interstellar Retribution) Whatever you like to call it is a really awesome song, so I decided to make it METAL.
I can count the amount of times I tried making a Metal remix on my hand so I do apologize if Im inexperienced or have labeled the song incorrectly. Still learning!
So this song is absolutely insane. Transcribing it was a challenge because D.B.O.Y.D. is just able to throw out these crazy riffs, and there were quite a few of them. I also tried making my own riffs to accompany his which you will find at 1:41 and 3:34 I even sprinkled in some bonetrousle at some points to make this more relevant to undertale.
So, Metal attempt number 2 I guess. Got some guitars, choir, string ensemble, an organ and one of those really old school sounding synths. Mixing it was the toughest I feel, because while Im so used to electronic music, you dont really sidechain in rock/metal. At least not much more than just the kick and bass. So having to fit all the sounds together was a bit of a challenge, not to mention with how much guitars can overlap over basically everything in a mix (electric guitars generally cover a lot of the spectrum). It was fun and refreshing to throw in other sounds like a synth and even an organ. The song sounded kinda stale when I originally had only guitars lol
Also oh boy college is starting up again soon which means Ill be pretty busy but Ill still try to get an upload a week out if I can. Im very close to graduating though (Ill finally get my Sound Production Degree in 2020 hopefully) but Im at the home stretch and I really really hope I can get it done!
