The MissingNo. glitch in Gen 1 Pokemon Red & Blue is one of the most iconic glitches of all time. This weird and mysterious glitch Pokemon is triggered after the old man in Viridian City teaches you to catch Pokemon. After that encounter, all you have to do is fly to Cinnabar Island and surf along the right edge.
After surfing along the edge for a short bit, MissingNo. will appear! This encounter will duplicate your 6th item and totally corrupt your Hall of Fame display. It can show up at levels above 100 as well. It's counterpart known as 'M that has the same effects can appear as well. Using other methods of this glitch can net you many other Pokemon encounters of your choice as well.
