Pokemon Polished Crystal is a hack of Pokemon Crystal by Rangi. It's an improvement hack with extras much in the vein as Renegade Platinum and Red++ featuring many of the bells and whistles you'd expect from a modern Gen 2 hack (Abilities, Phys/Spec Split, Fairy Type and other later gen mechanics among others). Elements from HGSS are present in here with character sprites and some narrative segments lifted from those while original content/areas have been sprinkled throughout the game.
The result is much like GS Chronicles you have an expanded Johto region to explore with a revised difficulty/level curve that upon starting a file you can customize how you want your experience to be (there's a Nuzlocke mode for instance) and so far I've been impressed with this hack. Beta 3 does have a Kanto to explore but I'll be covering all of the Post Game fights in a separate video.

This is also my first video to be made using OBS as the recording software so apologies in advance if it doesn't look as crisp as other uploads or you see some odd pauses. Polished Crystal doesn't run on Visual Boy Advance which is what I've used to record Gen 1-3 all this time and the emulator that I had to use to play this (mGBA) is impossible for me to record with, so I had to learn how to use OBS to capture the footage.
